My problem was the 4pm wall in the middle of a client presentation. The 10pm design session that needed to keep going. The sprint week where being mentally sharp wasn't optional - it was the entire job.
I'm a designer and creative director. I build brands, digital experiences, and products for companies across Europe. The work I do requires full cognitive presence — focused enough to make decisions, creative enough to generate ideas, and sharp enough to execute both at the same time.
Coffee helped with the first hour. Then it didn't. Energy drinks gave me thirty minutes and a crash. Nootropic supplements were either ineffective, overloaded with unpronounceable compounds, or wrapped in health claims that hadn't been substantiated anywhere outside of their own marketing.
